Active! gate SS is a cloud-based prevention service that stops information leaks via email and attachments through seven approaches.

Prevent misdelivery with pre-send checks

Temporary holding

Prevents "inadvertent errors" by quarantining or holding outgoing emails for a certain period of time depending on the conditions you set.

Filtering

This function filters outbound emails based on various criteria such as sender, recipient, domain, keywords, presence of attachments, time of day, etc.

Manager Approval

The email will not be sent unless the email sender's supervisor (approver) approves it. The supervisor will examine the content of the email before it is sent outside the company.

Confirm whether safe sending is possible

TLS Confirmation Function (PPAP measures)

This function checks whether the incoming mail server supports TLS (encrypted communication) and can also send attached files without passwords.

Auto-Bcc

If there are more than a certain number of addresses in To or Cc, it forcibly converts them to Bcc. In addition, the destination is automatically inserted into Cc/Bcc according to the set conditions.

Attachments are separated from the body of the email and downloaded separately using a password.

TLS confirmation function (PPAP countermeasure) included as standard!

Active! gate SS’s TLS confirmation function checks whether the recipient mail server supports TLS (encrypted communication), and in this case can send attachments without applying a password.

It also supports cases where the recipient does not support TLS.

TLS is one mechanism for encrypting data exchanged over the internet.

By encrypting communication between the sending mail server and receiving mail server using TLS, it suppresses interception during email transmission/reception and helps prevent information leakage to malicious third parties.

TLS encrypted communication is widely used not only for email but also across many websites handling credit cards and personal information such as names and addresses.
